    When Missouri resident Colton Michael saw a Labrador sitting on his front porch, his first thought was that a neighbor’s dog had wandered off and are available sat there. But soon, he realized that the dog knew her way around the house and seemed very comfortable in every corner. Colton instantly felts that something was off.

    Colton’s doubts were confirmed when he had the dog scanned for a microchip. The dog, named Cleo, belonged to the previous residents of the house who had moved away to Kansas in late 2018. Colton searched the owners on social media and realized that they had posted about the missing Cleo just two days prior!

    It is believed that when Cleo lost her thanks to her current home, she began walking into her old home. She must have covered a distance of 57 miles (ca. 92 km) altogether! The homeowners contacted Cleo’s real family and made sure she was reunited with them.
